MSTA Honors Lipski as Outstanding Elementary Teacher
Reeves Elementary teacher Jill Lipski was recently honored by the Mississippi Science Teacher's Association (MSTA) as their 2016 Outstanding Elementary Teacher. MSTA's purpose is to assist science teachers as they strive to offer students the best opportunities available. As part of their yearly convention, they recognize seven teachers through awards which are nominated by peers, students, parents, etc. Reeves Elementary teacher Jill Lipski was this year's honored elementary teacher.
Lipski holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with STEM Emphasis as well as her National Board Certification. She has taught for more than 15 years. When asked what is it she loves about science, Lipski responded, "Scientists are making new discoveries every day. I like that there are always more questions being answered and something new to discover in all the areas of science. I like learning how things work and growing that curiosity in my students. The best part of teaching is when you can see your students faces filled with excitement and amazement as they make new discoveries of their own."
