Over more than two decades in education and coaching, Kevin Hunt has built a reputation for developing successful basketball programs, building winning cultures, and helping student-athletes reach their full potential. A veteran educator with 23 years of experience, Coach Hunt has demonstrated success at every level of competition, from junior high basketball to state championship contenders.

Coach Hunt's career includes successful stops at Forrest City, Altheimer, Holly Grove, West Jefferson, and Long Beach High School. At Forrest City, he served as Junior High Head Coach, leading the program to a district championship while also helping the varsity team win a district title and finish as state runner-up as an assistant coach.

At Altheimer, Coach Hunt guided the program to an impressive 52-10 record over two seasons. His teams won district and regional championships, advanced to the Final Four of the Arkansas State Tournament, and finished as State Runner-Up the following season. He was named District Coach of the Year in consecutive years and earned a nomination to coach in the Arkansas High School All-Star Game.

During his time at Holly Grove, Coach Hunt led the team to a 24-8 record while capturing both District and Regional Championships. He was recognized as both District Coach of the Year and Region Coach of the Year for his leadership and the program's success.

At West Jefferson, Coach Hunt took over a program in rebuilding mode and transformed it into a consistent state playoff contender. His teams qualified for the state playoffs every season, culminating in a 24-9 record and a Sweet 16 appearance in the Class 5A State Playoffs during his final year.

Currently entering his fourth season as Head Basketball Coach at Long Beach High School in Mississippi, Coach Hunt has focused on rebuilding the program from the ground up. Under his leadership, the team has improved each year while establishing a culture centered on accountability, discipline, teamwork, and player development. With a strong foundation now in place, the program is positioned for what many believe could be a breakout season.

Throughout his career, Coach Hunt's philosophy has remained consistent: develop high-character student-athletes, build strong relationships, and create competitive programs capable of sustained success both on and off the court. His track record of rebuilding programs, winning championships, and mentoring young people has established him as a respected leader in high school basketball.
