Not all heroes wear capes - some fly brooms, defy gravity, and leave a trail of brilliance wherever they go. This year, the Golden Broom Award will be periodically given to a person or a group of people who rise above expectations. The Golden Broom honors those who are wickedly great, do their BEARCAT BEST, challenge the status quo, and bring a little magic to everything they do!

Long Beach School District is happy to host the MDE's Regional Family Night on September 16th from 6-7 p.m. at Reeves Elementary. This meeting is for parents of Reeves and Quarles students in Kindergarten through third grade. We invite Long Beach parents and those in our neighboring communities to attend this event where you will learn about the Literacy-Based Promotion Act and some strategies you can use at home to help students improve their reading skills.
